Party-Perfect Chicago Dog Sliders are the ultimate way to bring the bold, zesty flavors of a classic Chicago-style hot dog to your next gathering. These sliders feature all the iconic toppings—crunchy pickles, tangy mustard, and fresh onions—stacked between soft, pillowy buns.

If you’ve never tried a Chicago dog, you’re truly missing out on a piece of history. Originating during the Great Depression, these hot dogs were a staple for the working class, and you could get one for just 5 cents back in the day.
This hot dog comes loaded with delicious toppings, each added in a specific order: yellow mustard, neon relish, onions, tomatoes, pickles, peppers, and a sprinkle of celery salt. And here’s a rule you must follow: you’ll never find ketchup on a Chicago dog, so don’t even think about asking!
Helpful Tips
- Don’t skimp on the toppings: For an authentic Chicago dog experience, make sure to include all the traditional toppings like bright green relish, sport peppers, and tomato slices.
- Toast the buns: Lightly toasting the slider buns will add a bit of crunch and prevent them from becoming soggy when loaded with toppings.
- Make ahead for convenience: Prepare the sliders ahead of time by assembling them and storing in the fridge until you’re ready to serve—just heat them up for a quick and easy party snack.
