Whether you’re looking for an easy appetizer or a fun finger food to munch on during the game, these mini cheeseburgers will quickly become your new go-to snack.
Customize these mini cheeseburger bites with all your favorite toppings for the ultimate flavor. They’re incredibly versatile—you can swap ground beef for turkey, and experiment with sauces like BBQ, garlic aioli, or sriracha mayo to suit your taste.
Helpful Tips
- Use a thick slice of cheese: To ensure it melts perfectly, opt for a thick slice of your favorite cheese, such as cheddar or American.
- Season the waffle fries: Don’t forget to season the waffle fries before cooking them for extra flavor. Try a bit of garlic powder, paprika, or even a dash of cayenne for a kick.
- Assemble just before serving: To keep the waffle fries crispy, assemble the mini cheeseburgers right before serving to avoid sogginess.

Mini Cheeseburger Bites
Ingredients
- 12 waffle fries
- 1 pound (454 g) ground beef
- 1 teaspoon (6 g) salt
- 1/2 teaspoon (1 g) ground black pepper
- 3 slices cheddar cheese quartered
- 3 strips bacon
- 3 leaves iceberg lettuce
- 12 pickles round sliced
- 6 cherry tomato halved
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) ketchup
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) mustard
- 12 cocktail skewers
Instructions
- Cook the waffle fries according to the package instructions. While they’re cooking, proceed with the burger patties.
- Mix the ground beef with the salt and pepper. Form into small burger patties. Make them flat or they’ll cook up into balls.
- Heat a pan over medium high heat. Once hot, add the burger patties and grill until cooked through, about 4 minutes per side. Once you’ve flipped them, add the cheese so it can melt.
- Remove the patties from the pan and arrange them on your serving platter.
- Top with a piece of bacon, some lettuce, and a pickle.
- Mix the ketchup and mustard together in a bowl, but don’t overmix. It’s nice to still see the two sauces separately in the bowl. Pour some of the sauce over the top of the burger.
- Top with a tomato half. Serve with toothpicks to keep it all together.
