Helpful Tips

  • Make the Birria Ahead of Time – To save time and enhance the flavors, prepare the birria a day in advance. Letting it sit overnight allows the spices to meld together, resulting in a richer taste. Simply reheat the meat before assembling the mini tacos.
  • Buy Pre-Made Birria – If you’re looking for an even easier way to make these, you can buy pre-made birria in the packaged meat section of the grocery.
  • Use Quality Tortillas – For the best flavor and texture, opt for fresh corn tortillas. If you can find handmade tortillas, they will provide a deliciously authentic experience. Warm them on a skillet or griddle before filling to make them more pliable and enhance their flavor.
