This Hot Cheesy Bean Dip is a bubbling dish of golden, melty cheese and creamy refried beans. That first cheesy pull is exactly why this dip disappears in minutes.

It comes together with just a handful of pantry staples and barely five minutes of prep, so you can spend more time with your guests and less time in the kitchen. Whether it’s game day, a potluck, or a Tuesday night craving, this dip is the kind of easy win you’ll want to make again and again.
Helpful Tips
- Soften the cream cheese fully: Let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before mixing, so it blends smoothly into the beans and sour cream without any lumps.
- Shred your own cheese: Pre-shredded cheese is coated in anti-caking agents that can make the dip slightly grainy, so shredding a block yourself gives you a creamier, more even melt.
- Save some green onions for garnish: Stirring in half and sprinkling the rest on top after baking keeps that fresh, sharp bite from getting lost in the oven.
