Baked Ravioli Casserole
Ingredients
- 3/4 pound (340 g) ground beef
- Salt and pepper to season
- 1/2 teaspoon (1 g) onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon (1 g) dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup (80 g) onion diced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 28 ounce (794 g) can chopped tomatoes
- 1/3 cup (79 ml) heavy cream
- 20 ounce (567 g) fresh ravioli uncooked
- 1 cup (112 g) mozzarella cheese divided
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet over medium high heat, add the ground beef. Season with salt and pepper. Cook and crumble for 4 minutes.
- Add the onion powder, oregano, Worcestershire sauce, and onions. Cook for an additional 5 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Remove grease. Add 3/4 of the canned tomatoes to the skillet, along with the heavy cream, and stir to combine. Simmer over low heat.
- Pour the remaining tomatoes into the bottom of an 8×8” casserole dish and spread it out on the bottom. Arrange half the raviolis over the tomatoes. Top with half of the meat sauce, then 1/2 the mozzarella cheese.
- Continue to make another layer.
- Cover and bake for 30 minutes. Then remove the cover and continue cooking for another 5 minutes, until the top is slightly bubbly.
