If you love nachos and tater tots, why not combine them into the ultimate snack? Totchos—crispy tater tots loaded with melty cheese, savory toppings, and all your favorite nacho fixings—are perfect for game day, parties, or just a fun twist on comfort food. They’re easy to customize, ridiculously delicious, and guaranteed to disappear fast.

Helpful Tips
- Bake the tots until extra crispy: A crunchy base holds up better under toppings and prevents sogginess.
- Layer the cheese for better melt: Add some cheese under the toppings and on top for the best gooey, cheesy bites.
- Serve immediately: Totchos taste best right out of the oven before the tots soften under the toppings.

Totchos: The Ultimate Game Day Snack
Ingredients
- 28 ounces (794 g) frozen tater tots
- 1/2 pound (227 g) lean ground beef
- 1/2 packet taco seasoning
- 1 can black beans drained and rinsed
- 1 cup (113 g) cheddar cheese shredded
- Toppings: cherry tomatoes avocado, jalapeno, cilantro, sour cream, olives, green onions
Instructions
- Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the tots on the baking sheet and cook according to the package instructions.
- Cook the ground beef in a skillet, crumbling it as it cooks, until browned. Drain any excess grease. Add half a packet of taco seasoning and 1/4 cup of water. Stir and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Sprinkle the ground beef and black beans over the tots, then sprinkle on the shredded cheese. I like to layer it up so each bite gets toppings.
- Bake until the cheese is melted, but not browned, about 5 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and serve with your toppings.
