With only three ingredients and zero oven time, this is the perfect project to make with kids or to whip up when you need a fall dessert in a pinch. Because they set up quickly and hold their shape well, they travel beautifully to school parties, potlucks, or a Thanksgiving dessert table. And honestly, their adorable acorn shape makes them a guaranteed conversation starter the moment you set them out.

Helpful Tips

  • Work in small batches: Melted chocolate firms up fast, so only melt what you can use in a few minutes at a time to keep it smooth and easy to pipe.
  • Chill the wafers briefly first: Popping the nilla wafers in the fridge for a few minutes before assembling helps the chocolate set faster once you attach the Kisses.
  • Use a fine tip for the stems: A small piping tip or a tiny snipped corner on your bag gives you much more control for that delicate little chocolate swirl on top.
