Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 bone-in pork chops 1" thick
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup 10.75 can
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  • Pat dry the pork chops.
  • Mix together the seasonings in a small bowl and season the pork well on both sides.
  • In the crock pot, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, and Worcestershire sauce. Whisk to combine.
  • Nestle the pork chops into the soup mixture.
  • Cover and cook on high for 3 hours. Serve the pork chops with the gravy.

Notes

  • Opt for bone-in chops with a thickness of 1 inch; they hold up better to the slow-cooking process, resulting in a more succulent end product.
  • When seasoning the pork chops, take a moment to pat them dry with a paper towel. This helps in achieving a better sear, enhancing the overall flavor profile.
  • Resist the temptation to crank up the heat; the low and slow method is your ally here, ensuring that your pork chops become fork-tender and packed with flavor.
