- 3 tablespoons butter softened
- 1 tablespoon herbs chopped or dried (try parsley, basil, chives)
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 white cabbage cut into 4 wedges
- 1/4 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 1/4 teaspoon EACH salt and pepper
Preheat the oven to 425°F(220°C).
Cut the cabbage in half, then into 3 or 4 wedges each, keeping the core intact.
Mix the softened butter with the herbs and garlic powder. Brush about 2/3 of it on all sides of the cabbage. Place the cabbage wedges on a baking sheet and roast in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until charred on the outside and still slightly crispy. Flip it once during cooking.
While the cabbage is roasting, melt the remaining butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the breadcrumbs, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Toast, stirring occasionally, until the breadcrumbs are lightly toasted, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from the pan.
When the cabbage is done, transfer it to a serving platter and top with the breadcrumbs.
