- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes optional
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups broccoli chopped in small florets
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger grated
- 2 green onions sliced
- 3 cups cooked rice
- Sesame seeds for garnish
In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (optional). Set aside.
In a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef, crumbling as it cooks. Drain any excess grease from the pan. Reduce heat to medium.
Add the broccoli, garlic and ginger and cook for just 1, to let the aromas bloom.
Pour the sauce into the skillet and stir well. Simmer for 2–3 minutes, until the broccoli softens.
Serve over cooked rice with green onions and sesame seeds as garnish.
