Crispy Chickpeas

These Crispy Chickpeas are crunchy, savory, and incredibly easy to make with just a handful of pantry spices.

Ingredients

  • 15 ounces chickpeas drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F(200°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet.
  • Allow the chickpeas to air dry before beginning, or pat dry with a paper towel.
  • In a small bowl, combine cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, coriander, salt and pepper. Set aside.
  • Spread chickpeas out on the baking sheet.
  • Bake for 15 minutes.
  • Remove the chickpeas from the oven and drizzle with olive oil, stirring to coat. Sprinkle on the spices and stir to coat.
  • Bake for 10 more minutes. Stir the chickpeas around on the baking sheet, and continue cooking for
  • 5-10 minutes, until desired crispiness is achieved.
  • Turn off the oven and open the oven door so it's slightly ajar. Let the chickpeas cool in the oven.
