Equipment

  • 1 mini Crock Pot

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces Velvetta
  • 1 can Rotel
  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 can evaporated milk

Instructions

  • Add the Velvetta, Rotel, and evaporated milk to a pot or mini Crock Pot. Heat it over low heat until smooth.
  • Meanwhile, brown the ground beef in a pan until cooked through. Drain any grease. Add the taco seasoning according to the package instructions.
  • Add the cooked meat to the Crock Pot and stir well to combine. Serve hot with tortilla chips.

Notes

  • The type of cheese you use can significantly impact the flavor and texture of your dip. For a classic taste, go with Velveeta, but feel free to experiment.
  • If you're serving a crowd, keep in mind that not everyone has the same tolerance for heat. Consider using mild Rotel tomatoes or adding fresh jalapeños on the side, allowing guests to customize their dip to their liking.
  • For an even easier prep, you can make this dip ahead of time. Simply prepare it, store it in the refrigerator, and reheat it right before serving. This not only saves you time on the day of your event but also allows the flavors to meld together beautifully.
