Puff Pastry Pizzas
When you want pizza but don’t want to deal with dough, puff pastry pizzas are the answer.

- 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
- 1 large egg beaten with 1 tablespoon water
- ¼ cup pizza sauce
- 6 oz mozzarella cheese sliced or freshly grated
- Fresh basil leaves torn
Preheat oven to 425°F.
Unfold the puff pastry and roll with a rolling pin to flatten creases and thin slightly.
Cut into 4 strips, then cut in half to make 8 rectangles.
Use the tines of a fork to score a ¼-inch border around each pastry.
Use a fork to poke holes in the center of each pastry.
Beat the egg with 1 tablespoon of water. Brush the egg mixture over each pastry, including the center and border.
Bake puff pastry for 10 minutes, then remove from oven.
Spread pizza sauce evenly on each pastry. Top with cheese and any additional toppings you like.
Bake again for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Top with torn fresh basil before serving.
