Ingredients

  • 1/2 bag French fries about 10 ounces
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 1/3 cup onion chopped
  • 1/3 cup green pepper chopped
  • 6 button mushrooms sliced
  • 1/2 pound steak sliced thinly
  • 1/3 cup Cheez Whiz
  • Salt and pepper for seasoning

Instructions

  • Cook the fries from frozen according to the package instructions.
  • Heat the cooking oil in a pan on the stove top on medium heat. Add the onions and green peppers. Sauté for about 8 minutes. Transfer to a plate.
  • Add the mushrooms and steak to the pan and sauté for about 10 minutes, until the steak is cooked through and slightly browned. Transfer to a plate.
  • Heat the Cheez Whiz in a pan or in the microwave.
  • Pour the fries into a bowl

Notes

  • Thinly sliced steak cooks faster and more evenly ensuring tender and flavorful bites.
  • Warm the Cheez Whiz gently before drizzling it over the fries to ensure it remains smooth and pourable.
  • Philly Cheesesteak Fries are best enjoyed hot and fresh out of the oven, so serve them immediately to savor their deliciousness at its peak.
