Ingredients

For the filling:

  • 4 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

For the topping:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease an 8x8-inch baking dish.
  • In a bowl, toss the blueberries with sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Spread evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  • In another bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the milk and melted butter until just combined.
  • Pour the batter evenly over the blueberries.
  • Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling around the edges.
  • Let cool for about 15 minutes before serving.
