- 1 can crushed tomatoes
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 3 cloves garlic finely minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts 4 small breasts
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil finely chopped
- Parmesan cheese grated, for serving
Pour the tomatoes, sauce, garlic, salt, Italian seasoning, basil, and pepper into the slow cooker. Stir well
In a small bowl, whisk together the cream and cornstarch and add to the slow cooker.
Set the chicken into the sauce and make sure it’s covered.
Cook on low for 3 to 4 hours or until the thickest part of the chicken reaches 165°F.
Stir in the basil. Taste and adjust seasonings if necessary. Serve with Parmesan.
