- 48 frozen tater tots
- 1 cup prepared chili
- 12 Lit’l Smokies sausages cut into thirds
- 1/3 cup cheddar cheese shredded
- For garnish: chopped onions sour cream, chives
Preheat the oven to 450ºF(230ºC). Grease the cups of a muffin pan.
Place 4 tots in each muffin cup.
Bake for 15 minutes. Remove the pan from the oven and let cool slightly.
Mold the tots into cups inside the tray. You can do this by pressing a small flat object into the tray and twisting to force the tots up the sides.
Bake for 10 more minutes to crisp up the tater tots.
Add chili, 3 pieces of sausage, and cheese to each potato cup. Bake for 15 minutes.
Transfer to a serving platter. Top with onions, sour cream, and chives, if desired.
- My 1/4 cup measure worked perfectly to mold the tots.
