- 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
- 8 ounce wheel of brie cheese
- ¼ cup pecans roughly chopped
- 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
- 1 large egg + 1 tablespoon water
- Crackers for serving (optional)
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a rimmed baking sheet or pan.
Roll the puff pastry out to a roughly 12-inch square.
Place the puff pastry in the prepared pan. Set the brie in the center of the puff pastry.
Top the brie with pecans, brown sugar, and black pepper. Carefully fold the corners of the pastry over the brie, pinching the edges together to seal.
In a small bowl, beat together the egg and water. Brush it all over the pastry top and sides.
