Beef & Broccoli Noodles

Delicious beef in a savory sauce with tender broccoli and noodles makes this one of our favorite stir fry dishes.

  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce divided
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 4 oz beef sirloin sliced
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 4 oz lo mein noodles
  • 1 small head broccoli cut into florets


  • Combine the sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Set aside.
  • Slice the beef. Add it to a glass bowl with the soy sauce and minced garlic. Cover with plastic wrap and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes.
  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the noodles and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until just tender. Remove from the heat and drain.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add half the cooking oil. Once the oil is hot, add the broccoli and cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently.
  • Remove the broccoli from the pan and set aside. Add the remaining oil to the pan. Add the beef and cook for 2 minutes per side. Allow the meat to cook fully on one side before flipping, to develop color and flavor.
  • Add the broccoli and noodles to the pan. Stir everything together. Add the sauce to the pan. Stir well, until the sauce thickens, about one minute. Remove from the heat and serve.
