- 1 pizza crust homemade or pre-made
- 1 cup refried beans
- ½ pound ground beef
- 1 tbsp taco seasoning
- 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
- ¾ cup shredded lettuce
- ½ cup tomatoes chopped
- Optional: sour cream, jalapenos, avocado, hot sauce
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease a pizza pan and lay the rolled out pizza dough on the pan. Bake on the lower rack of the preheated oven for 3 minutes and remove from the oven.
Brown the ground beef if a large skillet over medium high heat. When completely cooked through, add the taco seasoning and a tablespoon or two of water and stir well. Cook down until the water has dissipated.
Spread the refried beans over the crust. Top with seasoned beef and cheese.
Bake on the lower rack of your oven for around 8 minutes until the crust looks crispy and lightly browned and the cheese is bubbly.
Remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly. Top with your desired toppings and serve.
- You can use a taco seasoning packet, like the one from Old El Paso. I use about half a packet for 1/2 pound of beef. If you'd rather make it yourself, here's a link to the taco seasoning we like to use: https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/46653/taco-seasoning-i/
